Ikaika Perreira

Chief of Staff, Hoʻōla Lāhui Hawaiʻi

Ikaika Perreira was born and raised in Kalāheo on the island of Kauaʻi. A lifelong learner, he attended Kamehameha Schools Kapālama, earned his B.S. from Brigham Young University Hawaiʻi, and later completed his M.A. through studies at Portland State University and the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. Though his education took him far, his commitment to raising his ʻohana in his ʻāina hānau brought him home to Kalāheo, where they continue to live today.

Driven by a deep commitment to his community, Ikaika spent nearly 20 years in education, focusing on students with special needs—especially those with blindness or visual impairments. He also served for many years on the board of Hoʻōla Lāhui Hawaiʻi, a Native Hawaiian and Community Health Center on Kauaʻi.

Today, Ikaika is Chief of Staff at Hoʻōla Lāhui Hawaiʻi, where he leads efforts to improve the health and well-being of Kauaʻi residents. He champions sustainable initiatives rooted in Hawaiian health, connection, and community impact.
