Keʻōpū Reelitz

Director of Policy & Strategy, Papa Ola Lōkahi

Keʻōpū Reelitz has made her career a love letter to her three young kids. She firmly believes that when Native Hawaiian families in Hawaiʻi thrive, everyone thrives – a belief that has driven her career in advocacy, communications and policy. Over the last decade and a half, she has worked for state government agencies—the Department of Human Services, the Executive Office on Early Learning and the Office of Hawaiian Affairs—as well as non-profit organizations like Hawaiʻi Children's Action Network and MANA Magazine. She now serves as the Director of Policy and Strategy with Papa Ola Lōkahi. Born and raised in Kāneʻohe, she is lucky to call it home once again. Keʻōpū is a proud Kamehameha Schools Kapālama graduate, and holds a B.A. in political science and international studies from Loyola University Chicago and a J.D. from University of Arizona Rogers College of Law.
