Haʻaheo Zablan, a product of Papakōlea, the first Hawaiian Homestead on Oʻahu, balances a deep respect for traditional Hawaiian culture, history, and values with a forward-thinking approach focused on innovation and sustainability in the Hawaiʻi visitor industry. Honoring his heritage and the ʻāina that nurtured him, Haʻaheo has consistently provided an authentic Hawaiian experience as the General Manager of Kaimana Beach Hotel, in collaboration with its management partner, Highgate Hawai’i, and through his leadership at HTLA. As one of the few Native Hawaiian General Managers in the state, he has transformed Kaimana Beach Hotel into a sought-after destination in Waikīkī, attracting both kamaʻāina and malihini, garnering awards from top travel publications. In addition to his professional achievements, Haʻaheo is actively engaged in the nonprofit sector, dedicating his time to lead boards for organizations such as Hawai’i Health & Harm Reduction and the Hawai’i LGBT Legacy Foundation.
